Editing the Bible: Toronto Conference

The University of Toronto is hosting a conference (convened by John Kloppenborg) on "Editing the Bible" on 1-3 November 2007. Papers cover both Testaments and look exceedingly interesting. Two ETC bloggers will be giving papers. For more details.

Alas, I must report that I found it necessary to withdraw from the conference some months ago; the university's president has announced his retirement for next June, and the trustees requested that I serve on the search committee for his replacement. This was not a request to be declined, and something had to give way; regrettably it was the conference.
