Dan Wallace reports on the death of Zane Hodges and writes a tribute here.

From Wallace's tribute:
"He never earned a doctorate, and intentionally so: he thought that such a degree might make him proud."

  1. I am sorry to ask an unrelated question here but I did a search on Dan Wallace and the ETS to see if there are any blog sites giving those us of who couldn't attend reviews of the papers presented. Where does one go to find reviews of the papers given? Does ETS provide something?

  2. Anonymous, I suppose some (or all) of the papers will eventually be made available here:

  3. I also expect that Wallace's plenary session paper will be published in JETS in early 2009. My recollection is that they usually do that with all of their plenary session papers.

  4. The first time I had ever heard of textual criticism was in reading the introduction to his Greek text. Of course, I disagree with much of his positions, but I'll always credit him for opening a new world to me.
